Bella's Summer Look

Bren and I wanted Bella to have a long hair so even after one year old we didn't initiate to get her a haircut but we were so surprise to see her one afternoon with a super short hair courtesy of my mother. I was a bit reactive on how Bella looks. Check out the pictures below for you to understand why :( ...

A snap from Tachu's phone...

I actually don't know what to say when I first saw her. I think Bren and I attended mass when Bella had her haircut. When I asked mama about it she said that Bella was getting so irritable with her long hair and since she's already one year old  it's the right time to cut her hair. Mama has even justified that it is timely for Bella to have this kind of hair to avoid further irritation caused by the summer heat.

This is how she looks before her first unforgettable haircut. Maybe, my mom was somehow right about giving Bella her summer look. I just wish it is not too short though...

What about your little kids, do they need a summer haircut too? :-)

First Children's Party Attendance

The first experiences of any child is always a milestone. As a full-time mother to Bella, I always see to it that I am able to take into account her many firsts in life. Just like the first children's party she attended when she was about five months old. It was Ezekiel's 3rd birthday celebration and of course Bella's first birthday invitation.

If this party was Bella's first, well, this was also my first time to attend a party as a mother and I tell you, it was a bit of an experience for me. My first time to eat using one hand while my  other hand was carrying Bella :-). I find it hard at first but get used to it in no time. It was a great party but Bella didn't have much time to enjoy it since she was already sleeping before the party ends. The poor baby was really dead to the world until we got home. I still find the experience enjoyable because moments spent with my little is always priceless.

First Swimsuit And A Borrowed Inflatable Pool

Bella had a blast in her first swimming pool experience and it looks like she didn't had enough that time so the next day, my sister let her use the available inflatable pool owned by Kuya Tep (Yoshi's cousin). It was her first time to use an inflatable pool and she is just so delighted.

And for the sake of first experiences, I let Bella wore the first ever swimsuit she have given to her by Tita Cindy ( Kuya Tep's mom) as a birthday gift.

Bella is just so happy! Thanks Tita Cindy and Kuya Tep...

After her first experience swimming in the pool, I realized that  Bella  likes being in the water sooo much. Although Kuya Yoshi is there but kind of hesitant to join her, Bella enjoyed the inflatable pool all by herself  while Kuya Yoshi is on his usual "swimming basin" on the side.

My little girl had so much fun wearing her first ever swimsuit while playing and swimming in a borrowed inflatable pool. I thank God for the simple things that made Bella happy which of course made me a happy mother as well.

First Swimming Pool Experience

One of the activities  we attended during our vacation in Cagayan de Oro was a pool party courtesy of my  college buddy Erwin. It was actually a mini-reunion plus his wife's advance birthday celebration. I initially do not have  plans to let Bella swim in the pool because she have colds that time but since we were already there and also due to the encouragement of everyone around, I allowed Bella to play in the pool side.

She did enjoy playing in the water letting her feet get wet at first and eventually her hand and finally her whole body as well. Since I  was not planning to let her swim, I did not bring her swimsuit but let her wear a dress  and   leggings instead. Her Ninang Lucille was making fun of her swimming outfit. Lol!

Happily playing with Ate Nonon...

It was raining that night and although she's obviously feeling cold, Bella was so hesitant to get out of the pool. She enjoyed playing with Ate Mika, my first inaanak and Ate Nonon, Mika's younger sister . While a little worried about her colds, I  was also delighted and proud to see that Bella is not afraid of water but rather  enjoyed it. It was a revelation for me and I  consider this experience as another milestone in Bella's life.

Thank you Marie for the First Comment...

First Birthday Celebration

Our little girl celebrated her first birthday bash at home last November 19,2011. The day started with a numerous birthday greetings from Bella's loving family in Maasin, Iloilo especially from Ate Yelly who managed to compose a birthday SMS for Bella at the age of 7. Everything was all good although Bella was a little sick that day.

It took me a while to make a post about her birthday party because I was waiting to get the photos from Tito Mike who acts as Bella's official birthday  photographer  but since most of Bella's blogging Titas were very excited as I am and so I was finally "convinced" to make a blog post about it using the photos I got from my cam. Hehehe...

Anyway, I would like to thank Bella's blogging Titas (KM, Krizza, Lainy, Algene)  for being such a big  part of  Bella's  first birthday preparation. I could not thank you enough for the love, support and inspiration you have given Bella and the rest of the family. Through your generous hearts, you all inspired me to go on with the party celebration for our little darling.

Below are some photos during Bella's first  birthday party.

It was a great joy seeing my little girl celebrated her first birthday with so much love from family and friends. She was actually having high fever that day to the point of experiencing  seizure at the time of her party but we are very thankful that Bella overcame it. We brought her to the doctor and we were told that there was nothing to worry about. Her seizure was caused by her fever due to teething and viral infection. She was given prescriptions and vitamins for faster recovery.

I would like to thank  everyone for the love and prayers you showed to Bella. This blog post would not be complete if I wouldn't say my thank you piece. So here it is...A million thanks goes to...

Tita Lainy  for the Birthday Cupcakes
Tita KM for the Dress and Shoes
Tita Krizza  for the Pink Balloons
Tita Raine  for the Invites
Tito Mike  for the Photos

Special thanks  to Tachu Bren who patiently and lovingly  prepared  all the loot bags and the tags  on Bella's birthday giveaways. Another unending appreciation to Tita July and Ninang Exper for everything ...as in every little thing and for always being there every step of the way. I love you guys!

The day ended with so much fun as a lot of kids enjoyed the games and prizes prepared for them. Even Kuya Macky had a great time too. Another milestone have been accomplished in Bella's life and  we owed everything to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for making everything possible. Thank you Lord for the the life of Bella and also for the loving family and friends who made our life's journey wonderful. May you bless all of them with the life they all deserve and may the goodness they shared will be returned to them with so much more.

Happy first birthday Ysabella! I pray that you grow up to be a person God wants you to be. Your life have been a blessing to us and I could not imagine life without you. Thank you for coming into our lives and for making me and Tachu the happiest parents on earth. I just wished  good health for you now and for always. I love you, anak!

Laughing at 3 Months

The joy of  being a mom is so profound. I think this is a  kind of gift that comes with motherhood. As a full time mom, one of my joys is seeing firsthand Bella's milestones. When she was about 3 months old, I noticed that Bella is already laughing. Not just smile but laugh especially when her Kuya Macky  is playing with her.

Pardon the picture... it was taken from my cellular phone...

I got to witness almost all of her many firsts right before my very eyes. Those moments were  priceless and no amount of money could ever pay. I thank God for this and for the circumstances that led me to be a stay at home mom. Blessing is indeed in disguise.
